Hymn of a Homestead

Hymn of a Homestead

There’s a hymn here that plays in the background: The sound of robins chuckling to one another, frogs clucking in the pond, or to the hush of wind through the giant pines. Add your voice to the choir. Or sing solo. Or sing in other ways: Play. Write. Sleep. Walk. Laugh. Eat. Breathe. Listen.

Welcome Queen Elizabeth—Oink

Welcome Queen Elizabeth
Welcome Queen Elizabeth (Katelyn calls her “Liz”) to the farm!

She joined us in late August via Texas, courtesy of Nikki, Katelyn’s sister. Liz is a “Juliana Mini” pig. She recently went on a walk to inspect some of the property that was cleared to make way for other animals (that story later). Liz is pink with black spots and course hair.
